Our volunteers are the reason families in Garissa eat on distribution day. We welcome anyone willing to give time — regardless of skills or experience.
Available roles
School Support
Tutor or mentor children in the orphan support programme. A background in education is helpful but not required.
2 hrs/weekFundraising
Help organise events, reach out to donors, and run online campaigns. Works remotely — diaspora volunteers welcome.
FlexibleSocial Media
Photograph distributions, write updates, and manage our Facebook/Instagram pages. A phone camera is fine.
3–4 hrs/weekLogistics & Transport
Own a vehicle? Help us move food packages and supplies on distribution days.
As availableInternship
University students studying social work, public health, or a related field can apply for a 3-month structured internship.
Part-timeField Distribution
Help pack and distribute food, clothing, and supplies during outreach days. Available Saturdays in Garissa.

What to expect

- A brief orientation session before your first distribution
- Clear instructions on what to bring and where to meet
- A volunteer ID card after your first three distributions
- Annual volunteer recognition and community events
Diaspora volunteers
You do not need to be in Kenya to help. Diaspora members run our fundraising campaigns, social media, and donor communications remotely. Contact us to find out more.
